I haven't been able to connect with vpn for several days. Should I still be using "fastest US server" or do you have another suggestion?

Dashboard says I'm connected and have been for 2 days 20 hours and 56 minutes but I'm not connected, can't "disconnect," and can't open up a live chat. HELP!
I have been in China trying to use PureVPN since last September and have always had a fight to connect and can never stay connected longer than a few minutes at a time. What can I do? This is completely unsatisfactory. I am using "fastest US server."
