@Stuart If you are using Windows based system then PureVPN Client icon color change to Green when connected and Grey when disconnected.
On Mac, you can select "Show status in Menu bar". Go to System preferences > Select VPN Check "Show status in Menu bar" and Apply. -

Good afternoon,
I think it would be helpful to have the option of of small unobtrusive screen or 'symbol' than can easily tell u if the VPN connection is still 'active' or not. I have found on many occassions I am doing work on the internet to only find that the connection is no longer active. This is very frustrating. It makes me want to look for an alternative supplier that can deliver this feature.Just something simple with perhaps nice looking colours that are lit up whenactive and not lit when disengaged would help a lot. 1) Which server do you try to connect (let us know the exact host name or IP address of the server)?
2) Do you get same error on other servers or just on specific one ?
3) Do you use manual VPN connection or PureVPN Client?
4) Have you tried by switching between the protocols i.e. PPTP and L2TP?
5) What is your OS (Operating System) and what error comes up when you connect?
6) Where are you located and share the purpose for which you want to use VPN and we will guide you accordingly -

Working fine for just over an hour and then no bandwidth ie less than 0.5mb, tried disconnectiong and 7mb without pure VPN but only .5mb with. Help!
