6. Mac: the app blocks 127.0.0.1

   connecting to IKEv2 with manual configuration on mac works fine
   connecting to IKEv2 with purevpn mac app blocks the 127.0.0.1 which is local ip address

   It makes developers and pro users unable to work on projects and apps like MAMP or Docker

7. Windows reporting Misleading:Win32/Lodi virus on Purevpn.exe

   Windows 10 Virus & Threat protection is reporting the message "Misleading:Win32/Lodi virus on Purevpn.exe under Category "Potentially unwanted software". It claims that "This program makes misleading or fraudulent claims about the files, registry entries, or other items on your PC.". Please resolve this problem ASAP

8. Split tunneling in Linux family OSs.

   As you know, users of the Linux family of operating systems are on the rise. I encourage people to ditch their Windows and Mac OSs - and, they are doing-so. What we really need is a split tunneling option through terminal.

9. Software Update suggestion - don't trash personal setup information with software update

   I updated PureVPN to the most recent update. I found the same deficiencies I experienced in the last update. I didn’t complain that time, thinking that the problems would be addressed in the next update, but I was wrong. Here is my list that covers the problems I can remember as I worked to bring my system back to the previous functionality I had before performing the update.
   PureVPN update observations – missing functionality after the transition:
   1. The Split Tunnelling apps set up over time disappeared. I needed to remember which applications I had previously selected, and then locate the executables for those programs and add them to the Split Tunnelling control.
   2. Auto-connect at boot status was lost, needing to be reset.
   3. Specified preferred location is lost, needing to be remembered, located, and selected.
   4. Network connection “PPP adapter PureVPN” was lost so torrent client stopped working. I think the process I used to fix it was to turn off the automatic protocol selection, selecting the IKEv2 protocol.
   For any future updates, the customer-selected options must be preserved during an update!

10. Repair function in app

    Occasionally things go wrong with your client software application.

    As a result I tend to ask support what to do. The tasks always repeat themselves and the fix tends to be to delete all the WAN Miniport adapters through windows device manager and reboot.

    Why can't there be a repair function in the app to reset everything in one go?
    That would be a feature that would benefit me.

    I would LOVE to change the color of the PureVPN Icon on the menu bar on my mac.
    Having only monochrome icons in the menu bar but the Pure VPN is kind of stressful for a visual person like me.

14. Work with Netgear to add VPN client configuration into the Nighthawk app

    At a minimum, it would be nice to have an option to connect/disconnect the VPN client functionality on/off from inside the Nighthawk app.

15. Toggle for Quit alert

    If I try to quit PureVPN on macOS while the VPN is running, I get an alert to confirm quitting the app. I must click OK to be able to quit PureVPN, or I would need to stop the VPN before quitting not to get the alert.

    I’m running PureVPN on a device used as a server that needs to automatically reboot on a scheduled basis. However, it doesn’t work because of PureVPN which needs an interaction when it needs to quit during auto reboot.

    I would love to have a toggle in the settings to be able to disable the quit alert, so that PureVPN can quit immediately, whether VPN is running or not.

16. Local shared resources unavailable when using PureVPN in a corporate or Windows Active Directory environment.

    All of my computers are members of an Active Directory domain. What this means is they need to resolve DNS for the local network against the local DNS servers which are the Active Directory domain controllers, because these internal names do not exist in the public DNS.

    I thought maybe if I use the split-tunnel feature of the app, so only the specified things are going thru the VPN. But it appears that Split-tunnel does not affect DNS, so all of it still goes thru the VPN.

    Because all DNS lookups are going thru the VPN, this causes the problem where I can’t resolve names on the local network and breaks Active Directory.

    This would affect any of your customers who use PureVPN on their work computers in a Microsoft Active Directory environment, and still need to actually get any work done which requires access to local network resources, because of this issue the local resources don't work correctly when the VPN is active.

    To support such a situation, your developers need to add the following capabilities in the Windows app:

    • Ability to turn off completely the DNS Leak Protection feature (this would be marked as not recommended and basically a last resort)
    • Ability to specify a list of domain name exceptions to DNS Leak Protection (example "mycompany.com")
    • Modify the DNS Leak Protection to send any domains on that list to the locally-defined DNS servers instead of yours.

    So, if the above feature were added, I could add “mycompany.com” and “myothercompany.com” to the exceptions list and any hostname ending with those (example: filestorage.mycompany.com, mail.myothercompany.com) would not be sent to your DNS and instead would be resolved correctly by the local AD DNS. Thus allowing me to use VPN and local shared resources at the same time.

18. Dynamic GUI Window

    Currently the windows connection interface is locked in a static size configuration. This does not allow the Window/App interface to be re-sized and tucked into the corner or edge of the screen for monitoring while continuing to work.
