I would love to see this feature introduced sooner rather than later for all Apple TV models. As a minimum alternative a dns address could serve as an interim solution similar to what Express VPN provide

Yes! I went with PureVPN because I was assured that it would absolutely work for AppleTV but now I've learned that there is no app for AppleTV and my current modem/router combo is not supported. I really don't want to have to go buy separate router and modem.
